Two days an counting until we leave for Ecuador for an orthopedic medical mission...Medical bags packed...check, personal bag organized but not in carry on yet...check, plane ticket...check, passport ....check, cash...check, protein bars...check, stethoscope...check.
I will head to PDX airport at o-dark hundred 03:45 Saturday ..and the adventure begins

We were escorted by soldiers...EVERYWHERE we went. We were told Machala was dangerous...although i never felt any threat. EVEN in the hospital....I much preferred being guarded by the Blazer fan in Ecuador!!!
